Temptation's Hand.

Through these windowpanes
That I never noticed were so caked in grime,
The outlines of rough images become defined,
Blurriness settling into an ethereal design.
Curtains of shadows flit past
And freeze fluidly in a shape, magnified, tall--
That looks eerily like a beckoning finger.
I turn my eyes away and stare at the wall.
But dust are these perilous pretensions,
That blind my sight when those beckoning shadows appear;
There are moments of piercing clarity
When illusions begin to disappear.

A beckoning finger,
A Siren's hypnotic voice.
Urging me to leave behind responsibilities,
And to turn a deaf ear to the presence of a choice.
A beckoning finger,
Evoking memories of a free world,
Grass as green as emeralds, sky a cerulean blue,
A white flag of freedom, fluttering in the wind, unfurled.

It whispers promises of quenched desires
In the murky depths of sleepless nights.
"Succumb to me," that voice murmurs,
"Fall from your climb to un-scaled heights"

And when that voice disappears, and the shadows at night,
And the mind submits to the grave concentration of life,
Though your climb to commendable heights is almost complete,
But for the last step: a steep hike in the midst of wildlife;
Determination divine, breath strong despite your struggle,
The beckoning finger returns, cutting through it with a knife.

Masochistic Tendencies

You can spitefully holler my name
And expect me to kneel at your feet,
You can thrust a silver dagger through my heart,
And I wouldn't mind it, it's true.
You could burn me
But I'd still smile lovingly.
You could hurt me,
But I'd still stare at you singly.

Wretched, cruel, twist in nature
Where there should be burning, red-hot rage
There is the soft, fairy quality
Of love, deep rooted in the book of my life, every page.
You could use me like a miserly tissue
Crumple me and spit on me,
But these silly, stupid masochistic tendencies
Will never become a burgeoning issue.

S I X T E E N

Buzzing with the happiness of
Being so special for one day
When everything falls into place
And fun just won't go away
I can know the world cares about me
In the most peculiar way
And the song of the wind seems to
Mutter my name on Saturday

And the clouds seem
To keep themselves at bay
To shine light upon the truth
That seems to have slipped my notice anyway;
Divine intervention,
In some way
Has come to grant me
My happy birthday.

Senseless Tunes

Too to doo do doo do doo
I feel like flying in the sky with you,
And pretend we're aeroplanes;
Oh dum dee dum dee dum
Let's go underwater and hum
The songs that I want to sing to you.

Let's jump over the moon,
Lie still in water like a spoon,
Or lets roll in the hilly grass
Lay on our backs and watch birds pass,
Oh let's dance in the night
With our spirits taking flight,
I want to swim through the air,
Run my fingers through your hair!

Because maybe now
I should confess
Whenever we talk,
My heart just starts beating a bit too fast!
I like the way it feels,
The way my head reels,
Even hours after you've gone.
Oh oh,
You know, you know,
I'd love to to just embrace you
Until its perfectly true
That I've expressed way too much to you =)

Wish

Sometimes I wish
That I could just fall into your arms,
Wide open, forever,
I wish I could just surrender.
I wish what we say to each other
Was our reality
And that the intimacy
Lasted forever.

I wish that the hugs we share
Would quench my longing for you
But circumstances aren't that fair-
Every look between us
Illicits a cartwheel in my heart
And at times, it's hard to differentiate
Between the love I feel for you
And the love I feel for how we are.

And I wish
I could stop wishing for all this;
When you repaint Mona Lisa
It's just not the same, now, is it?
Let's just freeze these moments right here
And hope that it nothing changes this happiness
Between us, this sense of harmony
Because anything more
Would just be unnatural.
I wish for this wish
To be lost in the sea of hopes and dreams
That, if they came true,
Would change us 'til we're bursting at the seams.

Restart

You can smell it
Almost taste it,
The acrid scent of a new beginning.
Wisps of it draw closer and they're
Intertwining with locks of flyaway hair
And tainted memories are thinning.

You can hear it, that sound
Of destiny turning around,
You can feel the anticipation of nature;
The winds whisper courageously
Of a new direction solidifying solely
Neither a mockery nor a cruel caricature.

You can feel the forgiveness
That rushes to your likeness,
You feel in you the power to forget the past;
It's as if the sea is at your command,
The waves navigate the ship at your demand,
And you guide it from atop a godly mast.

The blood that rushes through your veins
Picks up speed as the wind whips your hair
And stings your eyes, encourages you to forget,
And reminds you that in love, everything is fair.

7) Wanton

Ice on sensually scorching skin,
Whispering the sizzles of love for our sin
Though nobody knows, it feels as if the world stares
At my back and understands that nothing compares.

The curves, contours of heaving
Smooth skin blown warm by my breath
Tattoo my mind as I fall asleep,
Your skin on mine, intensity bound to be bequeath.

Arms caging my torso demandingly
Asking for what I can certainly give;
I succumb to the pull of promiscuity
This is a choice for which I live,

Palms exploring the depressions and mountains
Of landscapes much too small to be the work of God
But are as pious, are as heavenly, given to me,
The circles of beauty, triangulated by a rod-

Escaping into the caves of illusions
Into the warmth and comfort of sheets and skin
Leaving me breathless under my closed eyes and open mouth
Your smile shimmers like electroplated tin.

Cold water douses my heart, stabbing my daydreams;
Still enriched in the sensual coating of warmth and heat
It's all been a dream, I beg you to bring it true,
You already have me bowed over your feet.

In and out of addiction, I wander
These are decisions I'm forced to ponder over
I already want you to take me,
I will happy the day you take me to be
With you.

3) Drug

Addiction to a drug,
So intoxicated by his love
For a girl who's mature enough
To handle this drug.

The day is incomplete
Without seeing him one more time,
Without a dream in the night,
The day is incomplete.

Explosions everyday
Yesterday was the perfect voice,
Tomorrow will be the faultless grace,
New person everyday.

Drowning deeper an deeper,
Affection for him climbs steeper and steeper,
My soul's keeper, he's the keeper,
On his drug I'm a sleeper.

Addiction to this drug,
So intoxicated by his love
For the world of change
I'm addicted to his drug.

2) Incubus

Warmth of the night,
Fingers of hard fire, smoldering,
Across my skin like a burning light,
Intensity such that I quiver with fright.

Real voices, warm, deep, sensual,
The feel of skin in my embrace so tight-
Movement is so rich, so visual,
Something as vivid to me seems unusual;

Illusions flit across like a dream
But they seem so real, sending sensation of sparks-
White beauty upon us both like cream,
Happiness and pleasure might have made me scream;

You truly are an incubus, the dead of dark,
Thoughts of you are like jolts of spark,
And though my eyes stay open for hours at night,
I see you, around me, holding me tight;
A deep inhale of your scent,
The shivered sensations of your voice
The swiftness of your fingers,
Your presence is by my choice.
